Cut-Out Legacy explores the vanishing art of paper cutting, reimagining its role as both a tangible craft and an intangible cultural heritage. Drawing on Dutch and Korean paper cutting traditions, LEESUN presents three bodies of works that delve into the intersections of memory, identity, and cultural exchange. Through collaborations with Korean mime artist and Dutch paper cutting societies, she revives the fragile and ephemeral nature of the craft, evoking the tension between past and present. Cut-Out Legacy invites viewers to reflect on craft as an evolving dialogue, not just between cultures, but between what is seen and what is remembered, embodying both the beauty and impermanence of tradition.
